Every participant becomes a Spitfire as you flow up, around and over the volcano and experience the views of the Tetons (depending on weather), the sand dunes, nearby mountain ranges, the winding Snake River and more.

The Spitfire 50k is a great race!  There are volunteers at all the intersections pointing the way and cheering you on.  Even though the race is several loops of the same course, I liked how there was a lot of variety – climbing/descending and flat.  Also, the fun is not over when you finish.  There is lots of food, plenty of massage tables, and good people to visit with.  I recommend bringing the whole family and enjoy all the race distances.
